Monthly Wrap-Up – November 2021

Happy December! We're only a month a way from the New Year and I'm already counting down the days until 2021 is complete. I still haven't finish my reading goal for the year, at least not yet, and now I only have less than 30 days to finish. I can't lie and say that the pressure isn't there, but I have total confidence that I'll make it. With that in mind, let's jump into my wrap up for November!

Monthly Wrap-Up – October 2021

Happy November! We're in the home stretch! Only two more months to go until 2021 is complete, then 2022 will be right around the corner, which means that I have another monthly wrap up to share!  This month was definitely busy, way more than I originally believed, but I was able to spend my time doing quite a few things that I enjoyed. I was able to attempt to try some new things too. Overall, it was definitely an eventful month!

The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh - Book Review

The Beautiful Book Cover

Hello bookish friends! Today, I’ll be reviewing The Beautiful by Renée Ahdieh. When this book was first talked about in 2019, I had seen a lot of hype surrounding this book over on book twitter. So for Christmas last year, I bought myself the first two books in the series and decided to give them a chance and see if they were really worth the hype.

The Literary Witches Readathon - Books I'll Be Reading

Have you ever joined a readathon? Well, to tell you the truth, I surprisingly haven't. After being in the blogging world since 2016, I've never attempted a readathon, even though I've wanted too so badly. Back then, my schedule was always so packed. With college done and my free time increased, I've finally decided to join my first readathon! I'm so excited to be able to participate in one that is based on witches and I cannot wait to get started! Let's jump right in with some background info, my spell/ritual of choice, and the books I've chosen to read!

A Dress for the Wicked by Autumn Krause - Book Review

A Dress for the Wicked Book Cover

Hello friends! Today, I’ll be reviewing A Dress for the Wicked by Autumn Krause. This was the final book I read in 2020 and I was super intrigued by the story. It's set in a historical/dystopian world that is obsess with fashion. Based on the description alone, I knew I had to give this book a try. Also, look at this cover, it is absolutely gorgeous!

Monthly Wrap-Up – August 2021

Happy September! I cannot believe that autumn is just around the corner. This year has disappeared so quickly (compared to last year), that I have no idea where time has gone. It is one big blur. A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova - Book Review

A Deal with the Elf King Book Cover

Hello friends! Today, I’ll be reviewing A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova. It's been a little bit since I've shared a book review so I though it would be fun to share a book that I read last year and loved. In December 2020, I was hitting my annual end-of-the-year reading slump and since I had a few more books to read to make my goal, I knew I needed to find a book that could easily capture my interest! I decided to browse Amazon, I came across a sponsored ad for A Deal with the Elf King. Since the description said, "Perfect for fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses," I immediately bought the book and dove right in!

Monthly Wrap-Up – July 2021

Happy August everyone! It's been a while since I've been able to post again. Life has definitely busy for me and I have let my blog and reading slack completely. I'm hoping to change that come the new month, but I'm not going to hold my breath because there is only so much I can do in a short amount of time since my days seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Anyways, let's jump into my July wrap-up!

Monthly Wrap-Up – June 2021

It's finally July! And with that we're already past the halfway point through the year! It's been a little bit since I've been able to post, mostly because of school. Now, I'm completely done and graduated! I want to come back to blogging in full force, however, I've come to the realization that much prefer to post when I feel like it instead of having a strict schedule like I had before. Its so much more freeing to post when I want to than to force myself to publish something when I have the energy to write instead of forcing myself to write. Anyways, let's jump right in with my June Monthly Wrap-Up!

Monthly Wrap-Up – May 2021

Happy June! I cannot believe May is already over, where did the month go? I honestly cannot believe it's already over. I've been super busy, in addition to school starting back up for me. My break felt very short-lived since I started my final semester for my bachelor's degree this summer. Now comes the fun choice of deciding whether or not to continue my education to achieve a Masters degree, which is terrifying to say the least. Besides that, there are quite a few things that have happened last month that I'd love to discuss!

Monthly Wrap-Up – February 2021

Happy March! Another month has flown by and that means it's time for another monthly wrap-up. This month was not what I was expecting and time has definitely gotten away from me. Dividing my time between school, reading, blogging, and bookstagram, it was a challenge to get everything done when college homework took up most of my time. But I powered through and I was able to celebrate a new milestone for my blog. Let's jump right in!

Happy 5th Blogiversary to The Little Book Spy

Hello friends! I cannot believe The Little Book Spy is 5 years old! It's insane to think that I created this blog over half a decade ago. To be honest, where did the last 5 years go? Time has flown by so fast I can't keep track of the days. This year was a very interesting year, to say the least, for my blog. It was a roller coaster that has taught me so much when it came to making my blog a place that I enjoy writing on, sharing the books that I've loved, and creating my own little space to share my one passion for reading and writing. To commemorate my fifth year of blogging, I'm doing another yearly wrap-up when it comes to blogging and other things I've tried when it came to blogging, reading, and bookstagram.

Monthly Wrap-Up – January 2021

Happy February! We're already one month into the New Year and for me, it's been going pretty well so far. My college classes started up again, but I'm near the finish line for my degree which is excited and equally just as scary at the same time. Anyways, this month I was able to get some reading and blogging done! I'm thankful I was able to get some things done before I had to shift my focus back to college, which has been filled with tons of homework. But enough about that, let's jump right into my overview of January!

WWW Wednesday #4

Happy Wednesday friends! My reading this month has been pretty decent if not better than I expected, especially with college occupying most of my time. However, I've noticed my reading has changed formats, from eBooks to Hardcover, which has been surprising and I've noticed that it's made my reading increase and more enjoyable. At the moment, I'm currently on track this month for my reading goal and hopefully I can keep this up!  Anyways, let's jump in with my WWW Wednesday!

Looking Back: My 2020 Reading Goal and My 2021 Reading Goal

Happy New Year all! It's that time of the year again where I look back at last year's reading goal and create a new plan for my new 2021 reading goal. Last year's reading was not my greatest to say the least... However, I did still get to read a ton of amazing books.  For the upcoming reading year, I'm determined to create and commit to a new reading, blogging, and bookstagram plan. I'm being optimistic when I say this, but I hope 2021 will be different when it comes to reading and blogging and I hope to be successful in all of my projects this year!
