Can't Wait Wednesday #5 - Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

How's it going everyone!  I hope you're all having a fantastic day.  Today, I'm back with another Can't Wait Wednesday.  If you're not familiar with the meme, this is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings that spotlights upcoming release books that we're excited for!

About the Book:
Title: Serpent & Dove
Author: Shelby Mahurin
Release Date: November 5, 2019
Genre: Fantasy
Pages: 518

Summary:
Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned.

As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situation—marriage.

Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.

My Thoughts on Serpent & Dove:
I saw this book cover over on Epic Reads Fall 2019 YA Cover post.  Not only is the cover gorgeous, but the summary of the book has definitely put this book on my radar.  I love reading books about witchcraft and based on this book, so this is definitely going on my future TBR.

About the Author:
Shelby Mahurin is the New York Times and indie bestselling author of Serpent & Dove and Blood & Honey. She grew up on a small farm in rural Indiana, where sticks became wands and cows became dragons. Her rampant imagination didn’t fade with age, so she continues to play make-believe every day— with words now instead of cows. When not writing, Shelby watches the Office and obsesses over her Instagram feed. She still lives near that childhood farm with her very tall husband, semi-feral children, two dogs, and one cat.

Is this book on your radar?  What other books are you looking forward to being released? Until next time!
