Bring Me Home by Bree Howland - Book Review

Bring Me Home Book Cover
Happy New Year's everyone!  Today, I have the pleasure of featuring a fellow book blogger's book here on the blog and it's been one that I'm super excited to share.  I'll be reviewing Bring Me Home by Bree Howland.  I've been following Bree's journey of publishing her book ever since she announced it about a year ago and I've been super excited to read her book ever since!

About the Book:
Title: Bring Me Home
Author: Bree Howland
Release Date: January 1, 2019
Genre:  Romance
Pages: 182

My Rating: 5/5 ⭐️

Summary:
While Kailey was growing up, she was sure of two things:

1. She wanted to devote her life to helping animals.
2. She would never be without her best friend Cole Martin.

When her father had them pack up and move two provinces away two years before graduation, it felt like the rug was pulled out from under her.

Now she's in college, finally pursuing her interest in veterinary medicine. Even better, Cole is at the same school. But Cole has changed and so has she. Gone was the innocence of childhood friendship and easy conversations.

Between new friends, unexpected feelings, and a road trip, Kailey's first year in college will be more eye opening than she ever imagined.

My Thoughts:
Disclaimer:  I received an eARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a sweet and heartwarming story.  I loved every minute of this book! Now before I get into my review, I want to mention that I don't normally read New Adult.  It's just not a common genre for me to read, even though I have read a few NA books it in the past.  Being new to the genre, I think this book was super enjoyable and it's very easy to get into. You read from the perspective of Kailey, or Kail as she's commonly referred to throughout the story.  Kail is a very down to earth kind of girl, she's smart, caring, and is a little shy when out of her comfort zone.  I really enjoyed her character and she's very easy to connect with right at the start and throughout the whole story.  Cole is an extremely nice, kind, and flirty guy who would do anything and everything for Kail.  He's a very likable guy right off the bat.  You could see how Cole really cared for Kailey and how there was an instant connection between the two when they reunited with each other.  In addition to their friendship, it soon blossomed into a blooming romantic relationship that I loved.  The interactions between Kail and Cole were written very well and it was very swoon worthy. The dialogue in the story flowed and there were times you could get lost in the story while reading. There are a few scenes in the book that are a little steamy, which made me blush and turn extremely red at times as well. Both Kail and Cole's friends in the story were extremely supportive and it was fun to see how they encouraged Kail and Cole to be together after everything that they've been through. Overall, this was an amazing friends to lovers story that I think everyone will love and enjoy.
