Also, just a friendly reminder, reviews will still be sporadic until mid-December from what I can tell so far. Most of my time currently, is spent on homework and such, it's left me little to almost no time to read books, write posts, and try to interact on social media. Just like every school year, inspiration for my own personal writing comes with ease and reading slumps have officially, for now, become a thing of the past, but I have little to no time to do any of it, sadly. Thank you all for being patient while I figure everything out. Anyways, let's continue with my review!

Summary:
Nara Collins is an average girl with one exception; every night she dreams the events of the following day. Due to an incident in her past, Nara avoids using her special gift to change fate...until she dreams a future she can't ignore. After Nara prevents a bombing at Blue Ridge High, her ability to see the future starts to fade, while people at school are suddenly being injured at an unusually high rate.
Grappling with her diminishing powers and the need to prevent another disaster, Nara meets Ethan Harris, a mysterious loner who seems to understand her better than anyone. Ethan and Nara forge an irresistible connection, but as their relationship heats up, so do her questions about his dark past.
My Thoughts:
I loved this book. It was just what I needed to help get me out
of my long reading slump. The story had great detail and really pulled me into
the story. In the beginning, I was slightly confused, which was probably
because I was focused on a mixture of school and other stuff when I first
started this book, but after I was able to piece everything together, I was
absorbed into Nara's world and I couldn't put this book down. I really liked the
powers that these characters had. Nara had the ability to see at least
24-hours into the future, which by some means can be really cool and something
that I wish I had, while Ethan has the power to steal Nara’s dreams and
prevent her from seeing her own future.
One thing that this book had, which
is different from some of the other paranormal books that I have read in the
past, is the consequences of changing the future because you know what's going
to happen before it actually happens. Every choice and action that you
make in life has a consequence and creates a butterfly effect if the original course is changed. I loved the concept of this idea.
Ethan, who has his own demons in the story that he deals with, was a great character. He was so sweet and he
did everything in his power to help and protect Nara. Their relationship
was just the right pace. It wasn’t too fast,
but slow enough that their friendship blossoms into a full relationship. Throughout the story, I liked how the author was able to play up the villain, Fate. She made him super creepy and even though you don't
actually get a mental picture of what 'Fate' looks like until the end of the
book, the way she described him was perfect. If you like stories that deals with changing
the course of fate and paranormal romance, then I definitely suggest the Brightest
Kind of Darkness. It will keep you hooked until the very end.
