Monthly Wrap-Up – July 2022

Hello everyone! It's been a little bit since I've been able to post. I wish I had more time to dedicate to blogging like I used to, but sadly, I don't. Anyways, July feels like forever ago. It went by so quickly and I can't believe we're hitting the last 4 months of 2022.  To think that we're fast approaching 2023 is mind boggling. Let's jump into my July 2022 Monthly Wrap-Up.

Books I've Finished
  1. The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni (3 Stars ⭐)
It took me way too long to read The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni. Like I mentioned before, life has been pretty chaotic for me, especially since my life was changing halfway into July going into August. Luckily, I was able to finish this book before the month was over. I enjoyed it, but it was incredible slow and not much happened until the very end. I was kind of disappointed that it took most of the book for something to happen, but maybe later down the line I'll consider picking up the rest of the trilogy.

At the moment, I'm completely behind on my reading goal, but I'm not too worried. Maybe I'll be able to catch up before the year is over. I'm trying to be optimistic about it, but who knows how busy the next few months will be.

TV Shows I've Watched

  1. Big Brother (Season 24) w/ Live Feeds
  2. Lonely Enough to Love (K-Drama)
When it comes to TV shows, I call the next 2-3 months Big Brother season. Currently I'm watching the 24th season live with occasional live feeds. So far, I'm not sure what I think about the season because there has been a lot of negative things that have happened, but maybe by the end my opinion will change from mediocre to decent. The second show that I decided to watch was a k-drama called, Lonely Enough to Love. I've been wanting to get back into watching k-dramas, but I've held off because I had so many choices, but I didn't know what to watch. I finally decided to watch this show on the 18th. It's cute and silly, I cannot wait to see where the rest of the show will go!

Games I've Played

  1. The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection
  2. Dead by Daylight (w/ Jordan)
  3. Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek (Streamed on Twitch @DJTwinGamers)
  4. Golf With Your Friends (w/ Jordan)
  5. Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None (Streamed on Twitch @DJTwinGamers)
  6. Nancy Drew: Legend of the Crystal Skull (Streamed on Twitch @DJTwinGamers)
  7. Fall Guys (w/ Jordan)
  8. Among Us (Streamed on Twitch @DJTwinGamers) Nancy Drew Themed
Last month, I didn't play as many games, but I did get to quite a few. Also, I was able to play a new game that has become my go-to game to play when I'm bored. Back in June, Fall Guys Season 1 was released for free on the Epic Games store. I really enjoy playing that game with Jordan and we're always playing duos with each other when we have a spare evening. I was able to get 2 crowns in the game so far, which both came from me not realizing I was at the final round. Then suddenly, I only saw 1 person left in the match as they fell and the only phrase that crossed my mind was, what happened to everyone else?

Also, for the first time ever, Jordan and I joined an Among Us Lobby! It was our first time playing and our first time playing with other people and physically talking to them. Normally, Jordan and I don't ever play games with anyone so it was a nice change of pace to play a multiplayer game with some new friends within the Nancy Drew community.

Jordan and I played with some fellow Nancy Drew Twitch Streamers: SparklyKiss (Our Lovely Host), TinaBalducci, Snugly, LaCandiGram, MaryLovesMew, AnaiyaFalcon, simplyKaleb, and Heartless_Shroom. We switched off to playing with some random people in chat who were from Sparkly's stream, which did help me get used to the game, but watching it compared to playing it is a completely different experience because I was so clueless as the imposter!

When it comes to playing Among Us, I had the best time! However, I'm a terrible liar for that game and it was so hard trying to lie. I'm familiar with the game, watched hours upon hours of gameplay, but I'm unfamiliar when it comes to actually playing. For the first few rounds, we played as ND characters. I was Minette, while Jordan was Frank Hardy (Jordan had her gameplay streamed). If you'd like, we left the VODs of those matches up on Twitch, along with our other ND play throughs recently. We did get some technically issues that happened, but luckily we were able to get them fixed. Next time, I'd love for our group to do a Nancy Drew villains rounds because it would be so much fun!

Thank you all do much for reading!
